Are you driven by seeing your ideas come to life?

Welcome to our exciting and technology-intensive world.

Your Role

We are now looking for a new colleague to the Secondary Power System section, also known as Auxiliary Power System. In the role of equipment engineer, you will primarily work with your devices, handling everything from requirements management to verification and troubleshooting. This role involves close collaboration with colleagues in the section, as well as significant contact with other parts of the Aeronautics business area and, to some extent, with subcontractors and customers. The role gives you a deep understanding of how your components affect the larger system, and there are great opportunities for development and trying new things.

The section, which is part of the basic aircraft systems, is responsible for several functions in the aircraft. Since the aircraft are designed to be self-sufficient and operate without external supply, an auxiliary power system is required. Before engine start, the Auxiliary Power System is responsible for generating power for electrical and hydraulic production and pressurized air for cooling and controlling the cockpit environment. At engine start, it is the Auxiliary Power System that is responsible for generating torque until the engine ignites. Once the engine is started, the main function of the Auxiliary Power System is to transmit power from the engine for electrical and hydraulic power via the aircraft's main gearbox while monitoring that this production functions as it should. Should the normal electrical or hydraulic power fail, it is the Auxiliary Power System's responsibility to immediately enter emergency mode and support electrical and hydraulic power by starting the backup system.

You will be part of a wonderful team of around 15 people with mixed experiences and competencies. Our team is characterized by a welcoming and supportive culture where help is always available. We have a cheerful atmosphere and have fun together. Welcome to be a part of us!

Your Profile

We believe that you who are applying are a driven and responsible person. You have good communication skills and thrive in an environment characterized by collaboration and curiosity where you dare to ask questions and learn from each other. Additionally, you are solution-focused and have sharp analytical skills. We have close collaboration with our subcontractors, which means that business trips may occur.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Development & maintenance of systems & devices
  • Technical documentation
  • Requirements specification and verification
  • Investigation of operational issues
  • Maintenance preparation

To qualify for the role, we see that you have completed a university or master's degree in a relevant field. You have a good understanding of hardware, mechanics, and electrical systems. You also have good knowledge of English and Swedish in both spoken and written form.

The position requires that you undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in certain cases, involve requirements for specific citizenship.
